Torc Rings: Numerous caches of Viking Age precious metal jewelry have been discovered in and around the islands and highlands of Scotland. I have named my Torc ring designs for the places where torc neckrings and armbands have been found in these hoards.  The Torc was a collar or bracelet made of a twisted strand of gold, silver or bronze.  This bodily adornment was used to indicate the status of its owner.
